Packeting by wrapping-up. - In wrapping- machines of the kind in which an article and a wrapper are fed into a pocket in a rotary wrapping-wheel, such as are described in Specification 105,269, the ends of the wrapper w, after it has been folded into a tube round the article, are gripped between pairs of crossed U-shaped twisters 50, 51 adjustably secured on shafts 46, 47 in the twister head 40. The shafts have gear teeth 46<1>, 47<1> which mesh with grooves on a sliding spindle 49, movable axially to open or close the twisters. The spindle is moved in one direction by a spring 54, and in the other direction by the end 60 of the lever 58, the lever being oscillated by a cam 59 on the gear-wheel 44 which rotates the twister head.
