Abstract

1,051,306. Mixing flowing liquids in proportions. P. FOERSTNER [trading as TOTAL KOMM GES FOERSTNER & CO.]. Aug. 17, 1964 [Aug. 17, 1963], No. 33600/64. Addition to 1,017,786. Heading B1C. The apparatus of the parent Specification is modified by the provision of a replacement storage container 25 for additive connected to the chambers 16a, 16b, through valves 23a, 23b. As shown, assuming primary liquid pressure is being transmitted to angle pipes 3, 19a to chamber 15a, additive is expelled from chamber 16a through pipes 8a, 21a, valve 9a and pipe 10 to the throat 2 of the constriction. At the same time valve 9b will be closed and additive will flow from the storage container 25 through pipe 24, valve 23b, and pipe 8b to replenish chamber 16b, while waste primary fluid is expelled from chamber 15b through pipes 19b, 28b to discharge at 29. When the diaphragm 6a reaches the feeler 12a valves 9a, 9b; 4a, 4b; and 23a, 23b, change over. The valves 9, 23 may be simple non-return valves instead of linked stop-valves. The additive may be a foaming agent for the production of fire foam.
