Abstract
1,050,503. Cyclone separators. Y. BROYARD. Jan. 31, 1964, No. 4124/64. Heading B2P. A cyclone for separating particles from gas comprises a vertically disposed body having a hollow truncated conical section 1 and a spiral chamber 5 in which the gas to be cleaned is converted into a whirling stream before being led coaxially into the section 1 via its upper end around a central conduit 11 which constitutes the outlet for the cleaned gas. The chamber 5 is provided with a tangential inlet 9. The conduit 11 is connected to a vortexunwinding spiral chamber 12 having a substantially tangential outlet 14. The separated particles are removed by means of a rotating honeycomb distributor 2.
