Abstract
1,050,423. Building blocks. W. FOYERS. March 15, 1965 [March 14, 1964], No. 10882/64 Heading E1B. A walling block, or a complete wall, comprises a facing layer 11 of ground or crushed sandstone or fired clay, which is mixed with cement and water and poured into the mould 10, a steel grid or mesh-reinforced concrete layer 14, a waterproof membrane 17, a preformed layer 16 of foamed polystyrene, a further membrane 18, and an inner layer 20 of plain or breeze concrete. Metal rods 19 are pressed through the foamed layer and into the concrete layer 14 before the inner layer 20 is cast.
