Abstract

A toy vehicle has means to steer a pair of wheels and means to bias the steering back to a straight position. In the embodiment with regard to Fig. 1, the front wheel 22, which is provided with pedals 36, is held in a straight forward unsteerable manner, and a steering control bar 88 is movable manually left and right to pull cranked axles 140 about king pins 130 to effect steering of the rear wheels 81 under the control of links 106,108 operated by a downward arm 92 moved by the bar 88. The bar 46 supporting the king pins 130 is tilted during steering to tilt both the seat 54 and the front wheel 22 in an appropriate direction, and the slant of the king pins is so arranged that an inner turning wheel 81 is lifted relative to the seat 54 a greater amount than the outer wheel is lowered so that during turning the centre of gravity of the seat 54 is raised and so produces a restoring force towards the central steering position.
