Abstract

1,048,512. Hand trucks. ALLAN CHRISTENSEN & CO. Feb. 23, 1965, No. 7744/65. Heading B7B. A hand truck has a frame provided with legs 1 which engage the ground and a lifting mechanism by which the truck may be raised from the ground to run on wheels 4. The lifting mechanism comprises toggle links 6, 7 which extend the wheel supporting legs 3 from the support tubes 2 when the actuating lever 12 is depressed to rotate the shaft 10 and the link 11 secured to it. The raising height may be adjusted by the screwed sleeves 5 and by varying the angle between the parts of the lever 12 by the adjusting device 13. A hinge 15 allows the lever 12 to be moved sideways to engage under the stop 14.
