Abstract

Hooks.-A device for slinging nested life-boats comprises wire slings attached to the stem and stern posts and the keelson of the boat and provided with adjustably-mounted hooks. The sling passes through a pair of eyes c, c<1>, on the hook, which is held in its adjusted position by a clamp e secured to the rope between the eyes. Additional eyes j are formed on the hook, adapted to be connected to guy-chains leading to the sides of the boat.
