The panel of the parent Specification, comprising a hard foam layer and at least one layer of bonded wood shavings formed using organic bonding and cementing agents, is modified by perforating the foam layer so that hot air for drying out the bonding agent may penetrate. Several alternate layers of hard foam and bonded wood shavings may be superimposed, each foam layer being perforated, either during moulding of the layer or by subsequent punching or boring.
