Abstract
A homogeneous mixture of rubber and silicic acid is produced from a synthetic rubber latex and alkali silicate solutionby adjusting with acid the alkali silicate solution to a ratio between 0.14 and 0.33, mixing this solution with the latex, precipitating with salt solution, adding acid and working up the suspension in a manner known per se. The mixture of latex and partly neutralized waterglass may be added to the salt solution or the salt solution added to the mixture.
