Abstract

104,443. McLachlan, R. W. June 27, 1916. Globe and shade holders.-An annular device, such as a split ring, is secured round the neck of the globe or shade and is attached to the gallery by bayonet-slots, preferably by hooks on the split ring engaging the ordinary screws or pins on the outside or inside of the gallery. In one form, a triangular resilient wire ring B, B<1>, B<2>, having loops B<4> at its corners and an eye B<6> at one free end sliding on an extension B<5>, is sprung over the edge of the globe, and is provided at its corners with inverted hooks C with upwardly-turned ends C' for engaging the screws on the gallery. In other forms, the free ends of the ring are hooked together or are interlocked by bending when the ring is in position. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 24757/08, 25587/08, 29425/10, and 100,525.
