Abstract

1,044,433. Cable spacers. METALASTIK Ltd. June 14, 1965 [June 9, 1964], No. 23863/64. Heading H2C. Damping of low-frequency vibrations of conductors is achieved by a cable spacer comprising clamps to grip each of two conductors, the clamps being connected to a spacing link which incorporates a spring means of which the rate of variation of deflection with load is itself variable. As shown, the spring means is a high-damping rubber spring block 12 with a central circular aperture 13 having its axis normal to the long axis of the spacing link and to the direction of the conductors to be spaced.
