Abstract

1,218,429. Cable Spacers. ANDRE RUBBER CO. Ltd. 22 Sept., 1969 [18 July, 1968], No. 34368/68. Addition to 1,190,807. Heading H2C. A spacer of the type disclosed in the parent Specification and having four spacer arms is modified by having the two cavities 10 at each end of the link arm equally spaced and offset from the midpoint of the link arm 3. Each end of the link arm is formed as a flat support plate 5 and the cavities therein are defined by depressions 10<SP>1</SP> registering with depressions 10<SP>11</SP> on cover-plates 12. The support and coverplates have at the periphery of each depression an expansion space for receiving extruded bush material during assembly of the two plates. Spacer knobs 8 have tail portions extending through apertures 14 in cover-plates 12 and have fitted thereon a washer 15 of larger diameter than aperture 14. Openings 13 in the support plate have a diameter larger than the knob diameter.
