Abstract

1,043,939. Cable guides. BECORIT (GRUBENAUSBAU) G.m.b.H. Nov. 26, 1964 [March 20, 1964], No. 48052/64. Heading B7L. A cable guide roller has a body part 19 affording a peripheral running face 11 and a fixed first radial flange 10, and also has a second radial flange 12 which is axially displaceable relative to the body part towards the first flange to the position shown by the dotted lines. The flange 12 is screw-mounted on pins 27, slidably mounted in bores 30 in the body part, and is retained in the normal extended position by springs 13. A locking device prevents inward movement of the flange 12 until a locking pin 16 is pushed in thereby downwardly retracting a locking piece 14, which normally abuts the inner faces of the body part and the flange 12, to the position indicated in Fig. 4 (not shown). In a mono-rail cableway, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown), an actuating bar 18 on a carriage contacts the locking-pin 16 and pushes the flange 12 inwardly, thereby allowing passage between two adjacent rollers of coupling means connecting the cable and the carriage.
