Abstract
1,043,450. Transistor switching circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Dec. 16, 1964, No. 51169/64. Addition to 983,399. Heading H3T. In a modification of the parent case, the circuit contains switching means 3 (Fig. 1, not shown) formed by the emitter-collector path of a gating transistor which is switched on and off by signal b applied to its base electrode. In operation a sine wave a or a square wave of frequency f is connected to terminals 4. One of the two transistors is able to conduct when the switch 3 is closed by unidirectional pulses b, the transistor conducting being determined by the bias caused by the sine wave. Since the instants when the switch is closed are arranged to coincide with the crests of the sine wave the transistors conduct alternately to produce pulses c substantially equally spaced and of alternating polarity.
