Abstract

Compounds of the general formulae <FORM:1043152/C2/1> and <FORM:1043152/C2/2> (wherein R1 is a cyclopropyl, cyclobutyl or cyclopropylmethyl group and R2 is a halogen atom) and their acid addition salts are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula <FORM:1043152/C2/3> (wherein R3 is a C1-6 alkyl or monocyclic aryl group) or <FORM:1043152/C2/4> (wherein X is a halogen atom) with cyclopropylamine, cyclobutylamine or cyclopropylmethylamine, optionally followed by reaction with phosphorus trichloride and/or salt formation. The compounds of the invention are sedatives.
