Abstract

1,042,286. Conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHœTTE WESTFALIA. Feb. 18, 1965 [Feb. 20, 1964], No. 7025/65. Heading B8A. The belt surface of a platform conveyer is assembled from a plurality of rigid plates 10 connected with one another by rubber intermediate pieces 11 with edge beads 14 carried in recessed profiled grooves 12 opened upwards with narrow slots 13 obliquely directed. The lateral flanks of each rubber fold form an obtuse angle α with the adjoining plate 10. The conveyer has a transverse curvature R. The belt is assembled by pushing the edge beads 14 into the grooves 12 at the same time pulling on the forward end of the rubber piece 11. Additional securing of the rubber pieces 11 is not required.
