Abstract
1,042,239. Making splined couplings. AXEL WICKMAN TRANSMISSIONS Ltd. Aug. 6, 1965, No. 33683/65. Heading B3A. An internally splined flanged coupling is formed by sintering metal, preferably using a nickel steel powder. Preferably two or more angularly spaced bores are formed in the flange during sintering by cores supported from the mould. If required, the hub of the coupling is machined externally. The coupling face may also be machined if the sintering tolerances are too great.
