In a citrus fruit juice extractor, wherein fruit halves are compressed between a grid 15 and a rotary presser disc 12, single whole fruits are forced by a plunger 54 past a halving knife 8, the fruit halves then slide down the outwardly flared walls 81, 82 of a guide 80 on to platforms 11 from which they are fed cut face downwards by a pusher 87 on to grids 15 to be centred thereon beneath a presser 12 by means of the pusher 87 and a co-acting movable mebmer 88, the feeding and pressing being automatically controlled in timed relation-
