Abstract

An abrasive article such as a coated abrasive, block, or wheel, comprises a plurality of granules of an abrasive substance, portions of said granules being exposed and other portions being attached to a bonding material, the exposed portions of the granules and bonding material being coated with an adherent layer of a metal leaf pigment, such as cooper, aluminium, alloys of copper with zinc, lead, aluminium and beryllium, nickel, nickel alloys, gold, silver, platinum metals, and stainless steel.
