Abstract

1,041,291. Pulse circuits. OLYMPIA WERKE A.G. Jan. 1, 1964 [Jan. 26, 1963], No. 58/64. Heading H3P. A bi-stable circuit 23 capable of being respectively set and reset by the two positions of a mechanical changeover switch such as S1 is provided with an AND gate 24, 25 in the circuit between each fixed contact of the changeover switch and the corresponding input terminal. As described, when any of the switches S1 ... S3 is set to its right-hand position, a control voltage is passed via an OR gate 21 to an AND gate 24 which allows the bi-stable circuit 23 to be reset by the leading edge of the next differentiated clock pulse. The output is differentiated at 22 and the resulting pulse passed to the appropriate output terminal A1 . . . A3 under control of one of the AND gates 20. The bi-stable circuit 23 is unaffected by subsequent operation of the other switches and is reset by the first clock pulse passing AND gate 25 after the AND gate 26 has been opened by the restoration of all switches S1 ... S3 to their left-hand positions. In Fig. 1 (not shown), the gates 20 are omitted and only one switch S1 is employed. A diode is provided to select only the positive differentiated pulse from the output of the bi-stable circuit 23. The invention is stated to minimize the effects of contact bounce.
