Abstract

[Also in Division B7] A boat is provided with a wheeled fitting 1, Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), comprising a wheel 2 rotatably mounted in a bearing bracket 3 having a rod 5 projecting therefrom which is removably fitted in a socket 7 so that the face 6 of the bracket abuts the stem post 9 of the boat. A tyre e.g. of sponge rubber is fitted on the wheel. Rope grommets 11 on the transom 12 provide fixings for the boat's oars 13 to support the boat for wheeling. One or two sockets may be disposed at the stern of the boat and the oars may be disposed at the sides. In twin keel vessels a wheel may be associated with each keel, approximately midway its length, the sockets being disposed approximately vertically or horizontally. The rod may be rotatably disposed in a vertical socket.
