Abstract
1,040,577. Limiting circuits. COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANTS Ltd. Aug. 16, 1963 [Aug. 21, 1962], No. 32079/62. Heading H3W. In order to limit the amplitude of a signal it is caused to frequency-modulate a carrier wave, the frequency-modulated signals are then passed through a band-pass filter whose bandwidth determines the limiting level, and it is finally demodulated in a discriminator circuit. An automatic frequency control circuit may be used to stabilize the frequency modulator.
