Abstract

1,039,425. Cigar and cigarette holders; tobacco pipes. DELCRON PRODUCTS Inc. March 16, 1965 [March 16, 1964], No. 11196/65. Heading A2M. A cigar or cigarette holder or stem of a tobacco pipe is providedwith a chamber 18 communicating with the source of smoke, a chamber 29 communicating with the smoker's mouth, and an orifice plate 30 between the chambers for regulating the ratio of air to smoke drawn in by the smoker.The device comprises an end piece 14 which includes the chamber 18, a smoke passage 24 and a blind hole 40. Connected to the end piece 14 by a bolt 34 is a mouthpiece portion 12 which includes the chamber 29 and orifice plate 30. The plate 30 is provided with three diametrically opposed pairs of orifices of different size, and is formed on a shoulder 32 of the mouthpiece portion 12 which allows air to pass between the two portions in the regions of the blind hole 40. The pairs of orifices register with the passage 24 and blind hole 40 respectively and allow varying percentages of air to smoke to pass to the chamber 29 on rotation of the end piece 14 relatively to the mouthpiece portion 12.
