Abstract

A tomato juice-beer product, which may contain between 5% and 95% of beer, is prepared by (i) homogenizing a mixture of beer and tomato juice, and packaging the resultant product in a suitable container or (ii) admixing tomato juice (or the ingredients used in the manufacture of tomato juice, particularly tomato, salt and flavouring) and the unfermented ingredients utilized in the manufacture of beer, causing fermentation of the mixture and thereafter carbonating, clarifying and filtering the fermented mixture.
