A tractor-drawn haymaking machine, having seevral pairs of driven rake-heads 21, 22 mounted, along a transverse framemember 1, on cross-members 13, 14, is characterized in that the frame-member 1 is provided with a plurality of rearwardlyextending horizontal pivot-bearings 7, 8 in each of which a cross-member is pivotally received so as to be swingable about a longitudinal axis, the cross-members being adjustable laterally and angularly in their bearings, which are, themselves, adjustable along the frame-member 1. In Fig 1, each pivot-bearing is carried by a tube 5, 6 which is mounted on a vertically-adjustable and lockable swivel-wheel 28 and which can be locked to the member 1 by pins and holes 25, 26. The bearings 7, 8 receive pivot-pins which terminate in rings 11, 12 in which the tubular cross-members are received. The cross-members may have holes 18 arranged circumferentially as well as laterally, or alternatively the rings 11, 12 may incorporate clamps so that the rakeheads may operate at various orientations (Fig. 2). The heads are driven from a reversing and change-speed gearbox 4 coupled to individual gearboxes on the heads by jointed shafts 24. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the tubes 5, 6 extend slidably into a central part of the main frame between the limbs of the drawbar 2, the tubes being bodily adjustable with the cross-members and rake-heads.
