Abstract

1,036,096. Moulded cartons. DIAMOND NATIONAL CORPORATION. Aug. 23, 1963 [Feb. 14, 1963], No. 33481/63. Heading B8P. A moulded pulp egg carton has a cellular bottom section 12, a hinged lid 20 having two apertures 28 in the depending wall 24, and a lock flap 18 having two lock buttons with a rigid bar 40 extending therebetween, which buttons releasably engage said apertures. The lock flap is reinforced by ribs 42-50 disposed below the lock buttons. Between the ribs 42, 44 and ribs 50 are disposed fillet portions 52, 54 respectively which, when the carton is closed, engage a stop 56, thus causing the lid 20 and lock flap 18 to snap-lock together.
