1,035,317. Drag shovels; shoots. WINGET Ltd. June 28, 1963 [Aug. 2, 1962], No. 29719/62. Headings B8E and B8S. Material is transferred to a receptacle such as a hopper 11 of a concrete mixer (not shown) from an open-topped bin comprising one or more compartments bounded by lateral walls 1, 3 and 2, 4 by means such as a drag-line shovel 20 which conveys the material up a bottom floor or ramp 5 and over a flexible bridging member 9 which is normally vertical to close the outlet from the bin. As an alternative (not shown) the gate may be a plate of light, stiff metal hinged at its bottom part and acted on by counterweights or springs which latter may also be used in association with a flexible gate.
