Abstract

1,034,864. Packages for glasses. G. WALKER Ltd. Jan. 28, 1964 [Jan. 28, 1963], No. 3381/63. Heading B8C. A package for glasses comprises a base 1, side walls 2, 3, cut-outs 6, which provide seatings for portions of the sides of the glasses, flaps 7, which engage the mouths of the glasses, and flanges 4, 5, the latter having tongues 8 which overlie the corresponding flaps 7 of wall 2, Fig. 3 (not shown). Glasses are placed on the base 1, side walls 2, 3 are folded upwardly, flaps 7 are tucked into the mouths of the glasses and the latter are overlaid by top walls 4, 5, wall 5 being held in position by tongues 8. These tongues may be provided on both top walls. In a second embodiment, flaps 16, Fig. 5 (not shown), derived from the side wall cut-outs, provide transverse walls between the glasses. Upstanding flaps at each end of the base may be provided to form end stops.
