Abstract

1,033,347. Cinemas. E. G. PINTO. Nov. 17, 1964, No. 46798/64. Heading E1A. A basically circular cinema has annular horizontal floors 1, 2 surmounted by a circular wall 9 carrying three curved screens 8 (as shown) on to which images are projected simultaneously from a central suspended projection room 12. The seats on each floor are arranged in sectors oppositeeach of the screens, with aisles separating the sectors, (Fig. 2, not shown). The central openings in the floors increase in diameter on each higher floor, and the external diameter of each floor increases upwardly also. A central platform 18 on the ground floor may be used for e.g. fashion parades.
