Abstract

1300005 Multi - storey buildings T J WATERS 30 Sept 1970 [10 Oct 1969] 46468/70 Heading E1A A building 10 of hyperboloidal configurations has annular inner and outer frameworks 12, 11 interconnected by floors 20a, 20b and each framework consists of a lattice-work of support members interconnected by ties at directrix intersections, see Fig. 3 (not shown). The central hollow of the building may incorporate service facilities, such as an elevator shaft 37, and serve as an air vent having a louvre-controlled inlet passage 29 with sprinklers 45. A series of such buildings may be interconnected by tunnels and have a car park suspended therebetween by cables, see Fig. 7 (not shown).
