An auditorium comprises a main lecture area 10 with fixed seating 13 and a series of individual lecture areas P1, P2, P3, P4 which are disposed about the periphery of the seating 13 and are adapted to face either the main area 13 or their individual lecture platforms 15 to which end the seating 20 of the areas P1 &c. and an associated soundproof partitioning 16 are mounted on a rotary turntable.
