The upper wall 3 of a collapsible tank is supported from the base by rigid side panels 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d which constrain the tank to fold in the desired manner and to ensure that the top 3 is always maintained in a horizontal position, the hinges 6a interconnecting panels 5a and 5b have extensions 7 connected to a linkwork under the tank floor which constrains all the extensions 7 to move in unison and hinge between the panels 5a, 5b and 5c is of the lazytongs type to ensure that all the panels move in unison. The top 3 remains level irrespective of the disposition of any load carried by it and when the tank is fully collapsed the ring frame 7 supports the top 3 directly from the chassis.
