1,032,653. Stencilling apparatus. ARGON SERVICE Ltd. April 9, 1965 [Jan. 14, 1964], No. 1694/64. Heading B6C. In a screen printing machine in which the raising and lowering of a screen carrier is effected pneumatically and in which the working and return strokes of a squeegee associated with the carrier are effected pneumatically, the fluid supplied to cylinders C, C1, raising and lowering the screen carrier is controlled by a valve D which in turn is controlled by two timer valves T, T1, each of which includes a piston movable under the action of a fluid pressure differential between its ends to admit or shut off fluid to the control valve. During operation of the machine fluid pressure is supplied constantly to one end of each piston and intermittently to the other end via an operating valve A and an adjustable constriction in the form of a cock R, R 1 . This constriction causes a delay in the movement of the associated timer piston after actuation of the operating valve and thus causes a dwell time in the movement of the screen carrier.
