Abstract
1445858 Injection moulding; control NISSEI PLASTICS INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 16 Nov 1973 [17 Nov 1972] 53419/73 Heading B5A The injection speed and pressure of an injection moulding machine are controlled by controlling the hydraulic pressure supplied to a cylinder 1 by means of a plurality of electrically operable pressure control valves V 1 ... V 4 each of which is capable of assuming an operative or inoperative state independently of the others and which are operated successively one at a time. The cylinder 1 contains a piston 2 connected to an injection screw 4, and is connected through a valve SOLa and main fluid supply line to a pump P. A main pressure control valve 3 is connected to the main supply line and to four parallel connected circuits each comprising a solenoid operated valve SOL 1 ... SOL 4 and a pressure control valve V 1 ... V 4 . The valves V 1 ... V 4 are brought into operation in sequence by means of a limit switch LS1 and two timers (Fig. 2, not shown) or by means of three adjustable timers (Fig. 4, not shown).
