Resistances. - In an electric radiator, the backing that carries the insulating-supports f o r the resistance wire or strip is made in a number of sections a, b, c bolted to, but insulated from, each other. The section b is off-set at b<1>, b<2> to receive the ends of the adjacent sections, the sections being fastened together by bolts e and insulated from each other by mica strips i as described in Specification notches in mica supports f as described in Specification 24170/14, and is secured in position bp mica strips i as described in Specification 102,077 and shown in plan in Fig. 3. The strips i are secured by clamping-members j fastened to the back of the radiator by bolts k.
