Abstract

102,815. Mason, R., and Buchanan, W. C. Jan. 4, 1916. Food for animals.-Bad and wasted eggs are utilised as food for poultry by breaking them and heating them in a drier up to about 240‹ F., formaldehyde, boric acid, or similar preservative being added to the extent of 1 per cent., either before or during the process of heating. The product is afterwards broken or ground up to the required degree. The same process is followed in the manufacture of food for animals, but the shells of the eggs are removed.
