Pivoted-jaw wrenches; jaw faces and attachments.-A pipe wrench comprise a handle 2 with a head 1 having a fixed serrated jaw 7 attached thereto by screws 10, and a rotary jaw 4 on a pivot 5 within a recess in the head, a spring 17 and screw 19 holding the rotary jaw by a friction grip. Segmental notches of various sizes are cut in the periphery of the rotary jaw, whereby pipes A of corresponding diameters may be gripped by the notches and the fixed jaw 7, but are easily released, as the notches are so arranged on the jaw 4 that the centres of pipes of all sizes gripped therein fall below a straight line joining the centre of the pivot 5 with the point of contact with the fixed jaw 7.
