A photosensitive print-out material comprises a base, such as paper, a ceramic tile or cotton fabric, impregnated with or carrying as a layer or layers a cyclotetra-isoindolenine-(endo-isoindolenino)-cobalt complex with a polyamine and at least one photosensitive ferric salt capable of reducing the complex to a phthalocyanine pigment under the influence of light, such as ferric chloride, ferric oxalate, ferric ammonium oxalate, ferric citrate or ferric ammonium citrate. The photosensitive material is made by applying to the base, separately or after mixing, a solution of the ferric salt and a weakly acid solution of the complex. Thickeners such as gelatin or tragacanth may be present. After exposure to an image, the unexposed ferric salt is washed out with water to give a negative blue image on a yellow ground or both the ferric salt and the complex are removed by washing with aqueous acetic acid which may contain ethyl acetate or spirit and sulphuric acid to give ablue-on-white result. A deeper image is obtained by moistening the exposed material before the washing step with a solution of borax and sodium tartrate and drying at an elevated temperature.
