Abstract

1,026,210. Conical mills. R. NAZAI. Aug. 18,1964 [Oct. 25,1963; Nov. 25, 1963, May 14, 1964], No. 33660/64. Heading B2A. A mill for refining paper stock comprises a rotary disc 9 carrying blades 6 cooperable with stationary blades 5 projecting from a plate 16 which is connected to an upper member 17 by means of spaced members 18 to which a screen 7 is detechably secured, the mill having an upper casing portion 1 to which an inlet 4 for the stock is fitted and the arrangement being such that in operation of the mill, the refined stock passes through the screen into a chamber 21 and is discharged through a pipe 11 while solid impurities in the stock pass through the clearance between the periphery of the disc 9 and the blades 5, then through a pipe 12 into a separator 13 from which they precipitate into a tank 10 provided with a pressure water inlet pipe 24, the separated stock flowing back into casing portion 1 through a pipe 14. In a modification, the plate 16 is integral with the members 18.
