Abstract

1,024,861. Valves. SIEMAG MASCHINEN UND STAHLBAU NETPHEN G.m.b.H. Jan. 23, 1963 [Feb. 7, 1962], No. 2844/63. Heading F2V. The connection of a working part 13 to either a supply pipe 1 or atmospheric ports 15 is controlled by a hollow shaft 3 rotatable and axially slidable relative to a casing 9 embodying the ports 13, 15; the casing has a stud 8 engaging an endless cam groove 7 in the shaft 3. The latter incorporates sleeves 6, 6a which contact the casing interior and depending upon whether the ports 11 are between or beyond the sleeves so port 13 is connected to the pipe 1 or ports 15. A further casing port 16 provides for the escape of fluid between the sleeves and casing during relative movement between the shaft and casing.
