Abstract

1,023,394. Squeegees. R. G. DIXON & CO. Ltd. Jan. 12, 1965 [April 27, 1964], No. 17450/64. Heading A4F. A squeegee lip 12 of natural or synthetic rubber for a floor cleaning liquid pick-up device comprises a body portion 13 formed with a flange 14 and integral end webs 15. The flange and webs of the lip are arranged to engage around metal strips 10 having end flanges 11 and, as shown, a pair of lips are so mounted and adapted to be inserted into the mouth of a suction nozzle 18. The sandwich-like assembly is retained in the nozzles by means of screws and knurled nuts. The webs may be of triangular shape.
