Abstract
1,022,837. Anamorphic objectives. MEOPTA NARODNI PODNIK. March 6, 1964 [April 2, 1963], No. 9542/64. Heading G2J. An anamorphic objective, Fig. 1, for cameras or projectors, comprises spherical lens members I, IV, on either side of a pair of cylindrical lens members II, m, with crossed cylinder axes so that parallel rays s impinging on spherical member I form an image plane A which is transferred in the vertical plane to B by cylindrical member II and final image plane C by spherical member IV, whereas in the horizontal plane, the image plane A is transferred to B by cylindrical member m and again to the final image plane C by spherical member IV. In an example the magnification in the vertical direction is 1.41 and in the horizontal direction 0.71 so that the compression ratio is 2. Optical data are provided for the example shown in Fig. 3, wherein member I is a cemented negative member, members II and m are identical cemented positive members with crossed cylinder axes and member IV consists of a cemented negative member and an air spaced positive lens.
