Abstract

1,021,356. Piles. L. MULLER. Dec. 4, 1964 [Dec. 5, 1963], No. 49518/64. Heading EIH. A jacket for a foundation pile 3 (Figs. not shown) which is provided with an enlarged shoe 2 so that a space is formed between the shank of the pile and the surrounding sail 7 as the pile is driven, is formed by a hardenable material 8 being introduced in flowable form into said space as the pile is being driven, the level 4 of the material relative to the ground level 1 being maintained substantially constant and close to the ground level during the driving of the pile, the top surface of the material being exposed to atmospheric pressure during the setting of the material.
