Abstract

A needle for knitted fabric linking machine has a small degree of curvature, a gradually tapering pointed end portion of conical form, a recess forming a hook behind said end portion, and means associated with the recess for guiding yarn over the latter. Several embodiments are described in which the needle is provided with either a pivoted latch, or a tubular sliding latch, or a bead, or in which the recess is in the form of a slot which is inclined to both the major and minor axes of the needle stem, or is helical in form.
