Abstract

A paint for use in air-cooled selenium rectifiers comprises an epoxy resin of molecular weight at least 1000, a pigment and a solvent, preferably in the ratio 1:2.5:5 respectively. In an example "Epikote 1009" (Registered Trade Mark) (molecular weight 3800), TiO2 and methylcyclohexanone are mixed in a weight ratio of 20:50:92.5. Aluminium silicate is also a suitable pigment.
