Abstract

1,015,900. Refrigerators. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Nov. 17, 1964 [Dec. 20, 1963], No. 50409/63. Heading F4H. In a refrigerator having a chiller tray 3 slidably mounted beneath the evaporator 1, a spacer device 5 may be clipped to tray 3 in either a first position in which it spaces the tray from the rear wall of the cabinet or a second position in which it allows-the tray to abut said rear wall. The device 5 comprises a U-shaped clip 6 one limb of which has an extension 10 formed with a projection 11 near its free end. With the device 5 in the position shown the free end of limb 10 is spaced from the rear wall of tray 3 so that when the latter is pushed into the cabinet limb 10 engages a rib 12 on the rear wall of the cabinet and the tray is spaced from said rear wall to allow air to pass through the space. When the device is clipped with the limb 10 inside the tray the latter is free to contact rib 12 (Fig. 2, not shown).
