Abstract
1,014,706. Dispensing medical mixtures. H. OHL, and T. OHL. July 30, 1964, No. 30242/64. Heading B8S. Medical materials contained in hoppers A, B, C and D and intended to be mixed in desired proportions and to be tableted, are each discharged therefrom by a pusher 2 operated by a piston 3, all the pistons being operated by fluid derived from a source 19. The fluid is pumped by pump 5 controlled at 11 and the quantity of fluid and therefore the speed of the pusher is controlled by valve 6 adjustable at 10. Additionally, the to and fro displacement of each pusher 2 is controlled by end stops 7 and 7a each of which may be varied by a motor 8 controlled at 9. The end stops 7 and 7a control the magnetic valve 4 which controls the flow of fluid through pipes 14 and 15. In this way the quantity of material discharged from the respective hopper is adjustable to suit the mixture.
