Abstract

Amino-triazine derivatives of the general formula <FORM:1014652/C2/1> are prepared by reacting a dihalotriazine of the are prepared by reacting a dihalotriazine of the formula <FORM:1014652/C2/2> with at least twice the molar equivalent of one or more tertiary amines of the formula (R1)3N in which R is a phenyl group which may be substituted by C1 to C4 alkyl groups, the R1 groups are the same or different C1 to C4 alkyl groups and X is chlorine or bromine. The reactants are preferably mixed together in a volatile inert solvent and then the solution is refluxed. The solvent may be dioxan and the refluxing carried out for 1-2 hours.
