Abstract

1,014,218. Mixing fibres. TEMAFA TEXTILMASCHINENFABRIK MEISSNER MORGNER & CO. G.m.b.H. Dec. 16, 1963 [Dec. 19, 1962], No. 49649/63. Heading B1C. Fibrous materials are laid down in superposed layers on an endless conveyer 5 by which they are advanced towards the disintegrating apparatus 9; as shown, this is an endless belt having upwardly pointing tines and its operating run 10 cuts obliquely across the layers. The container 1 in which the apparatus is situated has removable sheet metal walls 14, 15, 16 which have curved bottom edges 14b, 15b, 16b and slope inwardly towards the top; the wall 16 is attached to the conveyer 5 which is reversed when the wall reaches the disintegrating apparatus. The fibres are fed by a telescopic pneumatic conveyer 17, 18 and discharged by the device 9 into the hopper 19. The disintegrating device 9 may alternatively be a rotary cutter.
