Abstract

1,013,816. Lifts. EXPRESS LIFT CO. Ltd. Oct. 7, 1963 [Oct. 10, 1962], No. 38347/62. Heading B8L. [Also in Division E1] A lift installation for serving a plurality of landings in a building, comprises at each landing opening a door frame assembly 21 mounted inside the lift well and designed to accommodate one or more sliding doors, and at least one of said landing door-frame assemblies incorporates or is associated with fixing means capable of supporting the assembly and securable to co-operating metal inserts 6 fitted, e.g. cast into the fabric of the lift-well during the construction thereof. The metal inserts may comprise channelshaped members with restricted openings through which extend capture bolts 26. In the embodiment described, brackets 9 served to the inserts 6 carry a sill member 11 to which the lower and upper ends of vertically adjacent pair of landing door frame assemblies are secured. The inserts 6 extend from front to back of the lift well and may be used to secure the lift guides.
